The AV-8B Harrier II is an American-British reconnaissance and close support aircraft produced since 1983. The aircraft is characterized by a unique ability of short take-off and landing. However, it is the vertical take-off and landing capability that makes this aircraft a powerful machine capable of operating in a wide variety of conditions. The Harrier II is a modernized version of the Hawker Siddeley Harrier developed in the United States.
Currently in use are the American AV-8B Harrier II and AV-8B+ Harrier II Plus, as well as British licensed versions of the Harrier GR.5, Harrier GR.7 and GR.9.
The model of AV-8B Harrier II aircraft has been entirely designed from COBI building blocks. The use of 424 elements made it possible to recreate faithfully the characteristic body of the aircraft in 1:48 scale. The model has been covered with high quality prints that will not wear off even during intensive use. The plane is equipped with an openable cabin, movable rudders and ailerons. Thanks to an elegant display stand with a plaque containing a signature the model looks even better. This license set is a great gift idea for every aviation and military fan regardless of age. It looks equally great in an elegant study or in a teenager’s room.
